Work on your marriage

Folks, working on your marriage is for your benefit, comfort and peace; and no one else’s. If you create a toxic environment by injuring your spouse with your words and/or actions, you will also bear the consequences in the end. Learn to walk in love always and be mature as you tackle issues that arise.

As believers the most authentic test of our faith is the expression of our love for each other, particularly within the four walls of a home. It’s interesting that Jesus said that the way people would know we are His disciples is not by the signs and wonders we command but by our love for one another (Jn. 13:34-35).

The times you just want to speak your mind and tell it like it is, learn to caution yourself so you don’t do more harm than good. Put in the effort to handle differences peacefully. You should see your home as worth the effort. There is no substitute to peace in a home so promote it at all cost. Sure, some people may not have gotten it right, it doesn’t mean you can’t.

As always, seek godly counsel if you need it. Genuinely wishing you God’s best in your marriage and family life. Cheers…
